Solskjaer sends huge warning to Alexis Sanchez to save his Manchester United career

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer talked about Alexis Sanchez’s performances and gave him a warning as pressure mounts over Manchester United for the top-4 race.

Solskjaer hasn’t had a good time at the club ever since the win over Paris Saint Germain in the Champions League.

The side faced defeats in the FA Cup and the Champions League quarterfinals and slipped to the sixth position in the Premier League table. However, Solskjaer has shown optimism in his press conferences and urged the players to step up.

Manchester United takes on Everton at Goodison Park later tonight and Solskjaer’s men simply cannot afford to drop points.

As the players prepare for a massive clash, Solskjaer has sent a warning to Manchester United’s most expensive star in the current squad, Alexis Sanchez.

Solskjaer on Sanchez:

The Norwegian managed stated that the side is in no position to “carry players”.

“As a club we cannot carry players.

“Everyone has to take ownership, keep improving, show that hunger that you want to get better individually and as a team,” Solskjaer said, in an interview with The Telegraph.

Solskjaer stated that the upcoming transfer window is important for the side, as they take significant decisions on incoming and outgoing transfers.

“I’m not just talking about Alexis (Sanchez). Everyone is under the same demands. But if we are talking about Alexis, he hasn’t been lucky with injuries.

“Since I came in, he’s had two long-term injuries and that hasn’t been beneficial to him. Some other players have had injuries as well. But I see the characters we have. I am looking at who we should keep, who we should move on.”

The Manchester United manager has challenged Alexis Sanchez to perform for the side as the season enters its business end. “Alexis has got a fantastic talent when he’s at his best level. Now we want him performing for us,” Solskjaer said.

Manchester United have the chance to go ahead of Chelsea with a win over Everton later tonight.
