MS Dhoni

MS Dhoni is targeted by many in the wake of every India’s defeat or poor run-fest in the match. This is the infamous trend set by the naysayers in contemporary cricket.

Sourav Ganguly who is a keen observer of Indian cricket spoke about MS Dhoni’s future in the Indian cricket team. He questioned the Indian team management for not giving a clear picture of the role that he is coming in to bat.

According to CAB President and former Indian skipper, the Indian team management should give MS Dhoni a good chance to flex his muscles as far as T20I is concerned.

Laxman, Aakash Chopra, Ajit Agarkar are still adamant with the fact of giving MS Dhoni a fair chance because they feel that Dhoni is struggling to compete in T20 cricket.

“I think the Indian team management needs to have a chat with MS (Dhoni) and discuss about his role in the side. He is a big name when it comes to Twenty20 cricket.

So before taking any judgement, I believe that he should be given a fair chance to prove himself once again,” Ganguly told India Today TV.

As always said that Dhoni’s presence brings a lot of wonders for India. According to Ganguly, the management needs to think deeply about the next ICC event.

MS Dhoni should be given a chance to play in his No.4 position so that he gets time to settle down and would later play in his typical style. If Dhoni fails to up his ante in the coming days then the team should look for sleeker alternatives according to Ganguly.

“The team also needs to think about the 2019 ICC World Cup and if Dhoni is unable to improve in the near future, they need to start looking at other alternatives,” he said.

Like Ganguly, Sehwag also said the same thing. Dhoni should be given freedom to bat up the order. “I have been saying this for a long time that MS Dhoni should bat higher up the order.

If he comes to bat at No. 4, he will have a lot of time to get settled and this will also help in playing his natural game,” Ganguly signed off.
