SRH Predicted Playing 11 for today’s match vs MI

SRH Predicted Playing 11 for today’s match vs MI: The Sportsrush presents before you SRH’s Predicted Playing 11 for their fifth match of IPL 2019.

Sunrisers Hyderabad were touted to be one of the favourites to lift the IPL trophy this year and they have definitely lived up to their expectation. With 3 consecutive wins after an initial setback, the Sunrisers are on a roll. Their ppeners have provided a huge impetus in all the matches which has massively helped them register the wins.

The middle order has not been tested enough and a shred of weakness could be seen in the last match where SRH managed to somehow scrape through to victory after Warner and Bairstow were dismissed.

Their bowling attack is one of the best in the League and the addition of Nabi has provided them with an impactful wicket-taker. This match against MI will be a big test for the. SRH would want to get some more wins on the roll since as they all say, momentum is the key in a tournament like the IPL.

Regular captain Kane Williamson, if fit, will provide a big boost to the team. However, that would mean Nabi missing out on a spot after some spirited performances. SRH would look to sort out their middle order crisis as well.

Top-order

Anyone who has any doubts with regard to who should open the batting for Sunrisers should stop watching cricket. David warner and Jonny Bairstow have been spectacularly amazing at the top for Sunrisers. They are the leading run-scorers in the tournament currently and are far ahead of the rest of the batsmen.

Considering Kane Williamson fails to recover in time for this match, SRH would look to play Vijay Shankar at No. 3. He has been impressive up the order so far and will help consolidate the innings.

Middle-order

While the SRH middle order boasts of some big names, they have been largely untested in the 4 matches they have played. In the last match, they did get the opportunity but struggled to time the ball at all. They almost choked at the end but a couple of big shots by Nabi sealed the win against the Capitals.

Manish Pandey has looked woefully out of form. He has just not clicked for SRH. Deepak Hooda and Yusuf Pathan have only struggled whenever they have batted. Nabi, however, will walk into the middle order.

Bowlers

The Sunrisers have a fantastic bowling line-up with a great mix of spinners and pacers. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was on song against Delhi after a few horrible performances and SRH would like their stand-in skipper to continue in the same vein. Sandeep Sharma has swung the ball well and Siddarth Kaul can be expected to take care of the death overs.

Rashid Khan has not taken the IPL by storm yet but he is one player who can turn around any match in a matter of an over. Nabi is surprisingly their leading wicket-taker with 6 wickets from just 2 matches and has been mighty impressive.
