Sunil Narine attempts to mankad Virat Kohli

Sunil Narine attempts to mankad Virat Kohli: The Knight Riders’ all-rounder was seen trying to mankad Royal Challengers captain.

During the 35th match of the ongoing 12th season of the Indian Premier League between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore at Kolkata, Kolkata Knight Riders all-rounder Sunil Narine attempted to mankad Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli.

It all happened before the last delivery of the 18th over when Narine aborted from his delivery strike whilst looking sideways at Kohli. With RCB skipper’s bat grounded in his crease, there was no question of him getting dismissed.

After realizing that he can’t be out mankaded, Kohli was seen funnily gesturing towards the Narine, signalling to him that his bat was way inside the crease.

Opening the batting with wicket-keeper batsman Parthiv Patel (11), Kohli carried his bat throughout the innings scoring his fifth IPL century, 100 (58), with the help of nine fours and four sixes.

It all happened after Knight Riders captain Dinesh Karthik won the toss and put the visitors in to bat. With bowling figures of 3-0-17-1, KKR all-rounder Andre Russell was the pick of their bowlers.

While a victory for Knight Riders will help them equalize (at 10 points) with Delhi Capitals and Kings XI Punjab, a defeat will see the number of losses overdoing the number of wins for them in this season.
