The Women’s T20 Challenge is turning out to be an interesting tournament. The Trailblazers have played their two matches and ended up with 2 points. Pretty much like the IPL, the finalists of this series will also be decided in the last match when the Supernovas take on Velocity.
If Velocity manage to win, Velocity and Trailblazers will play the final. However, if Supernovas manage a win here, the net run rate will come into play as all 3 teams will end up with 2 points in 2 matches.
Looking at the current NRR, Supernovas would simply need a win to qualify while Velocity need a loss by a huge margin to be eliminated. Let us have a look at the Dream11 team for this match.
SUP vs VEL Dream 11 Prediction
Wicket-keeper for SUP vs VEL Dream 11
The two options here are Sushma Verma and Taniya Bhatia. There is not much to go on to decide between the two. I will pick Sushma Verma owing to her experience and her batting position which is expected to at least be in the top 6 unlike Taniya Bhatia’s uncertain batting position.
Bowlers for SUP vs VEL Dream 11
I follow the usual strategy with bowlers and try to pick as less of them as possible considering their lower fantasy potential. I have picked three bowlers for this match. My first pick would be Radha Yadav from the Supernovas. She gave away 28 runs in 4 overs but picked up 2 important wickets.
Danielle Wyatt
Veda Krishnamurthy
Mithali Raj
Shikha Pandey
Amelia KerrThese are 5 established batters, quite an extraordinary list to collapse like that.
This is a crazy match, #WomensT20Challenge has been wildly entertaining so far! https://t.co/WcsYVcOCTX

The Dream11 points system rewards wickets much more than economical bowling. Hence, on a spinning track, Radha Yadav is my best bet to pick a few wickets. My next pick will surely be Ekta Bisht. Her capability with the ball is huge and she performed as per expectation in the first match when she picked up 2 wickets for just 13 runs in 4 overs. She is another efficient wicket-taking bowler.
The third bowler who makes my team is Shikha Pandey. She gets to bowl upfront and also at the death. This means she can contribute with a few wickets. Even though she is a medium pacer, she has shown her ability to adapt to any track and bowl as per requirement. Hence, Pandey makes my team this time.
All-rounders for SUP vs VEL Dream 11
I have gone in with 3 all-rounders for this match. It was a tough choice to make with many all-rounders showing some good form in the first match. I had considered Sophie Devine, Natalie Sciver, Anuja Patil, Amelia Kerr and Sushree Dibyadarshini.
I narrowed down the players by determining the batting position they are likely to play in. Sophie Devine makes the cut here for me considering she has shown some form with both bat and ball and is an integral part of the Supernovas middle order. Her experience also comes into play while making the choice.
Natalie Sciver also makes to my team considering she will bat in the top 5 and also open the bowling attack for the Supernovas and also, probably bowl at the death giving me more wicket points. Sciver is one of the most effective all-rounders in the world currently and would surely make a bigger impact in this match with both bat and ball.
15-yr-old Shafali Verma took some of the most established bowlers in women’s cricket from around the world TO THE CLEANERS.
Shafali is only a glimpse into what a FULL-FLEDGED #WIPL can do to INDW’s cricket.
Well done, #WomensT20Challenge

For my third all-rounder, I have gone with Amelia Kerr. Although she disappointed with the bat in the first match, she was excellent with her leg-spinners and picked up 2 wickets in her 3 overs. If she can show up with the bat as well, she can be fantasy game-changer.
Batswomen for SUP vs VEL Dream 11
I have selected 4 brilliant batsmen in my team and I still feel like some of the other batswomen deserved a spot. However, for the sake of balance and maximisation of points, I decided to go with 2 batswomen each from both teams who are expected to bat in the top 4 and make a significant impact there.
From the Supernovas, I have gone for the Indian duo of Harmanpreet Kaur and Jemimah Rodrigues. Harmanpreet can destroy a bowling attack on her day with her power-hitting. Kaur has huge fantasy potential especially considering her six-hitting ability.
Rodrigues has been fantastic for the Indian team in the last year and has shown immense potential. She can strike it long and can score runs very quickly. From Velocity, I have considered Hayley Matthews, Danielle Wyatt, Shefali Verma and Mithali Raj and with some difficulty, arrived at my 2 batswomen from these 4.
You can go for the other batswomen who are equally good. I have gone for Danielle Wyatt considering she is a very experienced international batswoman and the way she anchored the innings in the previous match on a turning pitch was very admirable.
Shafali Verma is a serious talent. Scored 186 runs in 6 inns at a SR of 187.87 in Senior Womens T20 League this year.
88% of these runs came in 4s & 6s.
Made the highest score of tournament (128 off 56)
Played some amazing shots today.

The last spot with go to Shafali Verma. It might be a little surprising for a few people but if you saw the way she batted when she opened the innings in the last match, you would know that the girl has a lot of potential. She opens the batting and can be expected to make the most of the powerplay overs as well. Get her in as a surprise
element in your team!
