Suresh Raina to be back in the next game for CSK
Suresh Raina has been a permanent figure for CSK in the IPL and does owe a lot to the franchise as it has helped him grow as a limited overs cricketer.
CSK and MS Dhoni gave Raina the opportunity to bat at number 3 and he has made that position is own in the IPL.
Raina is the leading run-scorer in the history of the IPL and played 158 matches on the trot for CSK before having to miss out because of a calf strain.
Raina spoke to Danny Morrison during the first innings today, revealing the extent of his injury and how it was just a sore calf and that he should be back to normal by the next game.
“I am fit and ready to play the next game” said Raina in the interview with Danny Morrison.
CSK play their next game on Friday against RR at their adopted home in Pune.
Match Scenario
The Gayle storm made itself felt in Mohali today with the West Indian teeing off in his first appearance of IPL 2018.
KL Rahul too looked in the mood, carrying on from his good form in the first two games. However, Tahir’s double blow, getting Mayank Agarwal and Aaron Finch off two balls.
With 160 off in 16 overs on the board, KXIP would back themselves to get at least to 200 on this batting heaven.
CSK will be up against another 200 run chase but with the experience of that win against KKR under their belt, they would be backing themselves to get the job done once again.
