Timothy Fosu-Mensah transfer news

Timothy Fosu-Mensah transfer news: Serie A side Lazio are hopeful of completing a deal in the January transfer window.

Manchester United have been in fine form ever since the arrival of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. After securing eight consecutive victories in as many games in charge, the side dropped points for the first time under Solskjaer last night.

Manchester United were held to a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford by Burnley. Sean Dyche’s side scored two quick-fire goals in the second half, but goals from Pogba and Lindelof inspired a late comeback for the host side.

The Swedish defender scored his first-ever goal for Manchester United since joining the club.

However, one defender who has been facing time on the sidelines is Timothy Fosu-Mensah, who currently plays for Fulham on loan from Manchester United. And according to reports in Italy, United are not happy with his situation.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah transfer news:

Fosu-Mensah joined Fulham at the beginning of the season on a season-long loan. After being a regular feature for the side, he has been largely absent from the first-team action since the appointment of Claudio Ranieri.

The defender has made only one appearance under the manager and has been left out of the squad in eleven league games.

The Dutch footballer has played only nine games across all competitions for Fulham.

And so, concerns over regular playing time for Fosu-Mensah have significantly grown among the Manchester United board.

It has been reported by Calciomercato that Lazio have entered the transfer market to make a late attempt on acquiring Fosu-Mensah on a temporary loan deal.

While it has been stated that the footballer is unhappy with the situation at Fulham, the report doesn’t mention whether Fosu-Mensah and Manchester United are interested for a move in Serie A.

Fulham are currently 19th in the league and secured an emphatic comeback in their game against Brighton last night. The side came from 0-2 down to score four goals in the second half.
