Atletico Madrid is the only team in the last decade to overcome both Real Madrid and Barcelona to win the La Liga. In the time since, Diego Simeone has made sure that the club grow from strength to strength and today, they are now the 8^th most valuable side in the world.

Atletico witnessed a number of key departures this season such as Antoine Griezmann, Lucas Hernandez, Rodri and Diego Godin. However, the club made sure they bought in appropriate replacements in the squad as well.
