The fourth season of the ISL kicks off on 17th November, which is set to be better structured and a longer version than the previous seasons.
With the addition of two new teams Jamshedur FC and Bengaluru FC and a reduction in the number of foreign players allowed per team, this season promises much more action particularly from Young and Upcoming Indian Players.
The ISL teams have however not backed down from signing some top class Foreign Footballers, who may not be in their prime, but will definitely bring about the Competitiveness and provide some valuable learnings for the local boys. Some of these great signings are:
Dimitar Berbatov:
The former Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspurs star (229 premier league appearances) will be donning the Kerala Blasters colors this season.
Possibly, the most recognizable foreign signing this season, he would be a vital Target man upfront for coach Rene Meulsteen along with the Indian star C.K .Vineeth.
Berbatov, the former Premier League Golden Boot winner, will definitely be a force to stop for other ISL defenders.
Robbie Keane:
Another former Premier League star who will be playing in the ISL this season. He will be playing for the reigning Champions Atletico de Kolkata.

The Irishman who used to ply his trade in the Major Soccer with L.A. Galaxy will be the star man upfront for the Kolkata team.
Unfortunately, though he has been sidelined with an Achilles tendon injury and will only be available from December onwards for the Champions.
Wes Brown:
The former Manchester United man who sent nearly 15 years at old Trafford will be turning up for the Kerala Blasters.
Arguably the best defensive signing in ISL, he will be playing alongside Sandesh Jhingan, arguably India’s best Defender. The Defensive Duo will be providing the sternest test to other ISL teams
Miku:
Venezuelan Miku will be bringing in some South American sass to the ISL this season. The former Getafe and Rayo Vallecano striker will be Turning up for the new boys Bengaluru FC.
Even with the likes of legendary Indian striker Sunil Chhetri in their ranks, Bengaluru will be hoping for some much needed Aerial Threat from the Venezuelan.
Gurpreet Singh Sandhu:
India’s No.1 custodian, Gurpreet will be turning up for Bengaluru FC, after having a brief stint with Norwegian club Stabaek FC. He is also the first Indian Player to have played in a European Continental Competition, the Europa League.
Sandhu was set to miss the opening fixtures due to the registration issues but an injury to goalkeeper Lalthuammawia Ralte, means that the star Indian goalkeeper is free to make his Debut against Mumbai City FC on Sunday.
