TOR vs VK Dream11 Team Prediction : Toronto Nationals vs Vancouver Knights GT20 Canada Dream 11 Team Picks and Probable Playing 11

TOR vs VK Dream11 Team Picks and Probable Playing 11 : Second season of the Global T20 Canada begins today with Toronto Nationals and Vancouver Knights clashing heads against each other.

With the cricket summer fully underway, the commencement of the Cricket World Cup has seen domestic T20 leagues spring up by the minute. And one of the newest entrants in the land of T20 showpiece leagues, the Global T20 Canada league is set to begin proceedings starting today with Toronto Nationals and Vancouver Knights playing against each other.

After the consummate success of the league in its opening season as it catered to a heavy cricket ardent population in the cricket, the league has only gone onto become bigger and more expansive for this season. A slew of international performers have been roped in by the 6 sides partaking in the first cricket league in North America, one which is officially approved by the International Cricket Council and taking.

And their couldn’t have been a more befitting way to open the marquee league up than today’s encounter between reigning champions Vancouver Knights and one of the most heavily packed outfit in the form of Toronto Nationals. The Nationals unit ended up indulging in the services of Yuvraj Singh, Brendon McCullum and Callum Macleod, offering the side immense depth when it comes to the batting line-up.

And with the knights having Chris Gayle, Rassie and Heinrich Klaasen on the other end, this match promises to be a runs galore. Given the extradonaire clean hitters of the ball, players who love sending the ball straight to the fence, expect the runs to pour in this encounter, seeing us immerse in absolute cracker of a fixture.

Toronto Nationals vs Vancouver Knights Match Prediction

One of the most finely balanced match in the league, calling a winner from this one is an extremely tricky proposition. Both the sides are without their equal share of players as well with the Nationals missing out on Sandeep for this one who is currently with the Nepal side while Russell’s participation stays in doubt for the Knights.

What just tilts the scale ever so slightly in Toronto Nationals’ favour is the slightly more restrictive bowling line-up which they posses. This is going to be decided by fine margins and we see the Nationals just about showing enough composure in the bowling department.

Pitch Conditions And Toss

Heavy emphasis was laid on the prevalent playing conditions and the state of the pitch along with how the toss would affect either side. Our picks were based on recent performances and figures and considering how sides and players traditionally function in different circumstances.

Batsmen were selected based on their ability to make the most of the powerplay overs, hold fort in the middle overs and up the ante in the death overs along with those who flourish while imbedding successful run chases. The same applied to bowlers as well based off an in-depth analysis of the pitch conditions and bowlers who have a penchant to pick up wickets at regular intervals. With the pitch expected to be a good one today, we have gone in with a slew of batsmen in our side.

Wicket-Keepers for TOR vs VK Dream11

Toronto Nationals’ Heinrich Klaasen is our pick for this segment. The player is one of the most reliable batsman in his side, a name who is going to act as the fulcrum for their batting order across their stay in the league.

Batsmen for TOR vs VK Dream11

The reason this match is being so heavily anticipated and awaited is due to the exuberant nature of the myriad batsmen we have filling up either side. We are going to opt for Chris Gayle first from the Knights with the opener being able to play this league after not being a part of West Indies’ test squad for the series against India.

With 255 runs in 8 matches in the first ever edition of the league last year, Rassie  Van Der Dussen becomes our second pick from the side. Elsewhere it’s an entire trivalent of players which come in from the Nationals with us picking up their entire top-order to bring in Brendon McCullum, Calum Macleod and Yuvraj Singh given the small boundaries and exquisite batting conditions on display today.

All-Rounders for TOR vs VK Dream11

Needing the big hitter in our side from the Knights, we are getting in Kieron Pollard into our side. He is also bound to get to ball today especially with Yuvraj Singh in the opposition, a player he knows from his time with the Mumbai Indians.

The Knights have Rizwan Cheema come in for this one as we pick out the one player each from either side for the first of 22 matches lined up our way.

Bowling Order for TOR vs VK Dream11

Despite Tim Southee having endured a horrid time in cricket at the moment, especially in the IPL with the Royal Challengers Bangalore, we are still picking him up from the Knights for this one. The side have a serious dearth of exceptional pacers and Southee is their best fast bowler at the moment. He’s known to be cleaned off in the death overs but his waning line and length could see him pick up a wicket in the closing stages as batsmen look to send him past the fence.

Ali Khan also comes in from the side while the only player to be picked out from the Nationals is Mitchell McClenaghan.

Captain And Vice-Captain

We are going to be making Chris Gayle our captain for this match while Rassie is picked out as our vice-captain after enjoying a solid World Cup with South Africa.

Probable 11

Toronto Nationals

Calum Macleod, Chirag Suri, Yuvraj Singh (C), Heinrich Klaasen, Ghulam Shabber (WK), Kieron Pollard, Mark Montfort, Chris Green, Mitchell McClenaghan, Jeremy Gordon, Jasdeep Singh

Dream 11 Advice

With teams partaking in the tournament in a hectic and congested schedule, one which sees several countries play on consecutive days, there is a likelihood of sides changing their playing 11’s for every match. Our side is picked based on the best performers for each side with us picking up players based on their pivotal role and importance to the team paired with their recent performances, pitch conditions and roles in the side paired with the toss and pitch and playing conditions.

Factors Considered While Crafting The Dream 11 Team

When we set out to make our Dream 11 side for this particular fixture, there were a slew of factors which were incorporated while selecting our players. While the condition of the pitch played a pertinent role in deciding to go ahead with a batting or bowling heavy playing 11, the toss played an equally vital role.

Apart from that the overall stature of the two teams partaking in the contest today, importance of the player to the side and the likelihood to score big or get a rich bagful of wickets were all encapsulated while taking into consideration the captain and vice-captaincy picks and overall composition of the side.
