Twitter bashes Rishabh Pant for playing irresponsible shot in 3rd ODI vs West Indies

Twitter bashes Rishabh Pant: Twitter poured severe criticism on the Indian wicket-keeper batsman for playing another rash shot.

During the third ODI of the ongoing India’s tour of West Indies at Port of Spain, India wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant once again failed to capitalize on the chance provided to him. While it is not about Pant scoring heaps of runs, it is more about him literally throwing his wicket away very frequently.

It all happened in the on the fourth delivery of the 13th over when Pant’s attempt to play a big shot off West Indies all-rounder Fabian Allen saw him mis-timing the ball to West Indies fast bowler Keemo Paul at long-off.

Coming in to bat at No. 4 in the same over, Pant ended up scoring 0 (1) as he put on display the audacity to play such a shot on the first ball that he faced. What was further disappointing that Pant has twice got out while rash shots with India captain Virat Kohli at the non-striker’s end.

With Kohli at the other end, Pant has twice missed the opportunity to play himself in under the captain’s shadow. Him scoring such shots without getting his eye in also put the team in further trouble. In the second ODI at the same venue, Pant was found wanting of doing the same.

In two ODI innings on this tour, Pant has scored 20 and 0. There is no hiding to the fact that his shot selection has made people think against him as India’s No. 4 batsman in ODIs.
