In school, you are always taught to drag your bat into the crease while running between the wickets. It is one of the basics that every cricketer needs to know, but maybe Hardik Pandya missed that lesson, as his unforgivable mistake cost his wicket today.

Pandya was providing excellent support to his skipper, as the pair were building up a crucial partnership for India. Hardik played the ball to long on, and called Kohli for a single.

Kohli rejected the run, and sent Pandya back as the all-rounder headed back to his crease. But for some reason, Pandya did not drag his bat into the crease and casually walked back, thinking that he was under no danger.

But to his horror, the stumps were broken at the striker’s end with Pandya’s foot still in the air. Kohli was dumbfounded at the other end, as Hardik Pandya realized that he just committed the biggest mistake of his career.

Here is how Twitter reacted to Pandya’s mistake!
