Twitter erupts as fans ‘feel’ the bulge in Ronaldo’s statue in Portugal

Cristiano Ronaldo’s statue has attracted plenty of tourists over the last few years.. 

Cristiano Ronaldo’s statue which was unveiled at Pestana CR7 Hotel, Funchal, Portugal in 2014 has been attracting plenty of tourists because of the shiny bulge.

The statue is 3.8 metres tall and weighs 800 kilos, sculpted by Madeiran artist Ricardo Veloza. As seen from the photo, the statue is based on his stance before he takes the free kick.

Groin area, in particular, has been rubbed more often than not that the bronze is being polished hard to miss shrine. Fans were quick to note the bulge size in that area, as soon as the statue was open to the public.

It seems the focal point of selfies, with fans touching that area to pose for photos and selfies. It is also being said that young ladies are the ones who touch or rub the groin area in particular while posing for the photos.

 

 

Tourist and Cristiano Ronaldo fan John Rodgers noticed that shine near the groin area,

“I just wanted a picture of him to send to my family,” he said.

“But as soon as I put on the family WhatsApp group everyone started laughing.

“They couldn’t help notice the well-rubbed area between his legs.

“While waiting to get back on the cruise ship I then realised a stream of tourists who were keen to touch that area.

“It seemed to make them all smile, particularly a young blonde lady. She couldn’t keep her hands off.”

The Portuguese International is one of the greats to have played the game. The 33-year forward has been loved at the clubs he has played for – Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus.

Having won the Ballon d’Or five times and thriving over the last fifteen years, Ronaldo has millions of fans around the world. He has many statues around the world, this is one among them.
