During the fourth day of the first Test of the ongoing India’s tour of West Indies at Antigua, India vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane registered his 10th Test century to put India in a formidable position. Having last scored a century against Sri Lanka in Colombo, Rahane has reached the three-figure mark after a couple of years.
Rahane had come in to bat at No. 5 in the 31st over when Cheteshwar Pujara (25) was dismissed by West Indies fast bowler Kemar Roach. With India losing two wickets in as many overs, Rahane provided the rescue act with a 106-run partnership for the fourth wicket alongside India captain Virat Kohli (51).
Playing in his usual manner, Rahane did take a lot of time but the situation demanded him to spend time in the middle. Having scored 81 (163) in the first innings, Rahane put on display an even better performance this time round.
On the second delivery of the 68th over, Rahane ran a single off West Indies fast bowler Miguel Cummins to complete his half-century. Him doing the same before Kohli spoke highly of him dominating the partnership. Resuming batting at 53* on Day 4, Rahane stitched a 135-run stand for the fifth wicket alongside Hanuma Vihari.
It was on the fourth delivery of the 105th over when Rahane once again ran a single off Roach to complete his century. Before getting out in the 108th over, Rahane ended up scoring 102 (242) with the help of five fours.

Viv Richards believes Kohli was once injured in South Africa and Rahane led India brilliantly in his absence. WHEN DID THIS TEST HAPPEN?!
