Twitter reactions on India’s comprehensive win over West Indies: Twitter hailed the Indian team for their all-round performance in Antigua.

During the fourth day of the first Test of the ongoing India’s tour of West Indies at Antigua, India defeated West Indies by 318 runs to go 1-0 up in the two-match series. Coming on the back of winning the T20I and ODI series, this victory has seen the visitors continuing their unbeaten spree on the tour.

Chasing a 419-run target, West Indies were expected to at least take the match to the last day. However, the same wasn’t the case as the hosts were bundled out for 100 in 26.5 overs. With bowling figures of 8-4-7-5, fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was the pick of the bowlers for India. Other than Bumrah, fast bowlers in Ishant Sharma (3) and Mohammed Shami (2) were also among the wickets for the visitors.

It was a 50-run partnership for the last wicket between the West Indian fast bowling duo of Kemar Roach (38) and Miguel Cummins (19*) which them touching the three-figure mark.

Resuming the day on 185/3, India eventually declared their innings at 343/7 in 112.3 overs. It was a 135-run partnership for the fifth wicket between Ajinkya Rahane (102) and Hanuma Vihari (93) which saw the visitors setting a formidable target for West Indies.

Rahane scoring his first Test century in two years and 30 innings saw him feeling relieved after crossing the three-figure mark. On the other hand, Vihari scoring his career-best score was as good as any Test innings.
