Twitter reactions on India's tied match against Afghanistan

Twitter reactions on India’s tied match against Afghanistan: Sportsrush presents before you Twitter reactions from India’s tied Asia Cup match.

During the fifth match of the Super Four stage of the ongoing Asia Cup between India and Afghanistan at Dubai, India and Afghanistan played a nerve-wrenching tied match, the first of this tournament.

Earlier in the day, Afghanistan had won the toss and chose to bat. On the back of wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Shahzad’s blazing century, 124 (116), Afghanistan scored 252-8 in their allotted quota of 50 overs. For India, Ravindra Jadeja (10-1-46-3) was the pick of their bowlers.

In the second innings, India went off to a start in the affirmative. A 110-run opening stand between Lokesh Rahul and Ambati Rayudu had set the game for them, but a middle-order collapse saw several twists entering the match.

With Afghani spinners picking up wickets at regular intervals and restricting the run-flow, India’s chances of clinching the chase decreased gradually. The equation eventually fell down to India requiring seven runs in the last over being bowled by Rashid Khan.

However, Ravindra Jadeja ended up hitting the ball straight to Najibullah Zadran at deep mid-wicket. India scored 252-10 in 49.5 overs. Opener Lokesh Rahul ended up top-scoring for India as he scored 60 (66) with the help of five fours and a six. With bowling figures of 10-0-40-2, Mohammad Nabi was the pick of the bowlers for Afghanistan.

Having watched the exciting encounter, fans were thrilled on the social media platform Twitter. Read some of the tweets below:
