Twitter reactions on India’s win over Pakistan: Twitter goes crazy as India beat Pakistan by 8 wickets at Dubai.

During the fifth match of the ongoing Asia Cup between India and Pakistan at Dubai, India beat Pakistan by 8 wickets to register a thumping victory over their arch-rivals.

Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed’s decision to bat first after winning the toss fell flat on its back after Pakistan were bundled out for 162 in 43.1 overs. Barring an 82-run partnership for the third wicket between Babar Azam and Shoaib Malik, no other Pakistani duo managed to show any kind of resistance.

Bowling on a flat wicket in the hot Dubai weather, all credit must go to the Indian bowlers who dominated the opposition from the word go. The new-ball opening pair of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah made early inroads into the opposition batting line-up.

It was followed by a clinical performance by the spinners, who didn’t let either Azam or Malik to stand tall on their stand. Azam (47) top-scored for Pakistan. With bowling figures of 7-1-15-3, Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the pick of the Indian bowlers. Kedar Jadhav, India’s sixth bowling option, chipped in with three crucial wickets during the middle overs.

In the second innings, India’s ever-reliable opening pair of Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan stood togather for a 86-run opening partnership. Sharma’s quickfire half-century saw him scoring 52 (39) with the help of six fours and three sixes.

With the foundation laid for the victory, Ambati Rayudu (31) and Dinesh Karthik (31) steered the team to the target without much discomfort. India accomplished the target in 29 overs.
