Twitter reactions on Man Utd failing to qualify for Champions League 2019/20, Twitter mocks Ashley Young and Luke Shaw as United put on horror show
Manchester United have been challenged to achieve new lows every weekend and surprisingly they have delivered every single time. From players making grave errors on the pitch to Solskjaer messing it up with his tactics, the United supporters have seen it all ever since that historic win against PSG.
Even the impregnable David de Gea has ended up making mistakes this season, one’s that have dearly hurt the team, especially when he let Messi’s shot get by him at the Nou Camp.
On a day that could have helped Solskjaer save some face, things have gotten worse for the United manager, as they have ended up dropping two points to already relegated Huddersfield.
Luke Shaw’s error led to Huddersfield equalising after Scott McTominay had given the visitors the lead with a scuffed left footed shot, one that went into the goal because of a goalkeeping error.
Shaw returned the favour in the second half, handing the goal on a plate for Huddersfield. While that error was something that Man Utd fans have gotten used to this season, they weren’t expecting Ashley Young to play at centre back, a bizarre decision by the Man Utd manager.
Fans and critics have absolutely ripped the players apart, as they look like deadwood on the pitch and the club just doesn’t seem to have any sort of motivation or direction with respect to where he is headed.
Manchester United have also been officially knocked out of the 2019/20 Champions league draw.

Manchester United will not be in the 2019/20 Champions League. Draw with Huddersfield leaves them 4 points adrift of Tottenham Hotspur.

Solskjaer turns away as the ball goes into touch. He was earlier telling Jones to calm down. Well, United managers have been doing that for eight years and not got anywhere. #mufc

How can the Manchester United coaching staff and hierarchy watch Phil Jones and Ashley Young week in week out and decide to renew their contracts? They genuinely wouldn’t start for any other top ten side in the Premier League. Dreadful and incompetent defenders. Terrible.

De Gea too porous but Luke Shaw hapless there. United haven’t even approached the screw, never mind turned it, since they scored. Going through the motions and lethargic. Sums up this squad. #mufc

Rashford gets the ball there and Pogba, who could bust a gut to get in there for a cross, is ambling outside it. So much is so wrong. #mufc

Atrocious. As bad as I’ve ever seen. What is Luke Shaw doing? And as for his ‘recovery’ after the mistake. Says it all I’m afraid. Embarrassing. Disgraceful. Biggest club in the world? 🙈 #MUFC
