Twitter reactions on Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni: Twitter was exhilarated on the senior Indian duo finishing the innings vs Australia.

During the 14th match of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 between India and Australia at The Oval, India captain Virat Kohli and wicket-keeper batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni aided India to 352/5 post in their allotted quota of 50 overs.
Having won the toss and chose to bat, Kohli would have expected his batsmen (including himself) to put on board such a brilliant display of batting. If Australia seal the chase, it will be the highest chase ever in a World Cup match.
India thrived on the back of opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma’s 127-run opening stand. It wasn’t the only significant partnership for India as it was followed by 93-run partnership for the second wicket between Dhawan and Kohli.
What gave India the big push was an 81-run partnership for the third wicket between Kohli and all-rounder Hardik Pandya. With the latter getting out on 48 in the 46th over, it was Dhoni who scored 27 (14) with the help of three fours and a six in the slog overs. What the veteran cricketer did the best was attacked the opposition bowlers from the word go.
Kohli, who got out in the last over, ended up scoring 82 (77) with the help of four fours and two sixes. Dhawan’s 17th ODI century was the fulcrum of the Indian innings. Before getting out in the 37th over, the southpaw scored 117 (109) with the help of 16 fours.
Twitter reactions on Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni:
And that’s India’s highest score against Australia at World Cup. And that’s the most Australia have ever conceded at the World Cup. It was as perfectly constructed an innings you’d see

When India can boss the World Cup the way they have today, how silly does the nonsense some of our mainstream media puts across look like. Boycotting the tournament for a symbolic gesture. Win the World Cup and Dhoni, and our forces, would be even prouder. #IndvAus #CWC19

This is now India’s highest total vs Australia in the World Cup, beating 289/6 at Delhi in 1987.
The highest by any side vs Australia in the World Cup is 312 by Sri Lanka at Sydney in 2015.#INDvAUS #AUSvIND #CWC19— Rajneesh Gupta (@rgcricket) June 9, 2019
Great all round batting effort by India. @SDhawan25 paced his innings beautifully and all the other batsman complemented him superbly. Backing the bowlers to do the job #IndvAus

Wow @msdhoni wow! What a shot!

Hardik Pandya’s form with the bat is an incredible luxury for the Indian dressing room. Gives great flexibility to the batting order – and major headaches to the opposition. #INDvAUS #CWC2019

Complete show from the Indian batting I’d say, chasing this total would be really tough, likes of @Jaspritbumrah93 with @yuzi_chahal and @imkuldeep18 would want to not take this game too deep.#CWC19 #INDvAUS

Exquisite, masterly knock by @imVkohli. Among batsmen since 1980s, comes closest to Viv Richards and SRT in consistently dominating bowling attacks
