It was a game that was ridden with anxiety, something that you would expect from a qualifier. KKR and SRH were feeling their way into the game and it looked like this could one that could go right down to the wire. And right down to the wire it went.

SRH managed to scrape through in emphatic fashion, beating KKR in their own den, after the worst possible start wherein they lost both their batting stalwarts(Dhawan and Williamson).
But a late surge from Rashid Khan and some ordinary bowling from the KKR pacers meant that they were chasing a total that was always going to be tricky.
In response, KKR started strongly, as Narine gave them the perfect impetus upfront.
Lynn carried on but he couldn’t find a stable partner in the middle, as the KKR middle order succumbed to the trickery of Rashid Khan.
In the end the onus was on Shubman Gill to take KKR home and with the way he was striking the ball, it seemed like he might just take KKR home, riding on all that support from the crowd.
But Bhuvi and Kaul dished out two amazing overs to leave Brathwaite with 19 to defend of the final over. The big West Indian held his nerve and ensured that SRH got over the line.
