The big day finally arrived, as IPL 2018 opened up with a huge clash between defending champions Mumbai Indians and the returning Chennai Super Kings.

And no one was dissapointed, as it was an amazing match that went right down to the last over.

The biggest moment came when Markande trapped MS Dhoni plumb in front and dismissed him LBW. Dhoni’s puzzled expression at not picking up that delivery told the tale, as the youngster had a night to remember.

Earlier in the day, Krunal Pandya’s late blitz was crucial in taking Mumbai to 165 in their allotted overs. Hardik Pandya then gave struck early with the ball to hand MI the initiative.

Then Barvo smashed a quick fire fifty as the West Indian took CSK till the door step.

But Bravo’s dismissal changed the match again, as it was anyone’s game heading into the last over. Kedar Jadhav then hit a heroic six and then a four, as he took CSK to a remarkable win.
