The Indian Football team has been on a roll off late. Stephen Constantine’s men have broken into the top 100 in the world, and with a renewed training strategy, it looks like Indian Football team is on the right track. Constantine wants India to became a regular at the Asian Cup and feels like every match from here on will add to that learning curve, and will help India become an Asian giant in the years to come. Today’s Nepal friendly was a good way to prepare for the Kyrgystan qualifier, and the Indian team did not disappoint one bit, treating the vocal Mumbai crowd to a brilliant win.
Jeje and Jhinghan scored two beautiful goals to help India register a win against the lowly ranked Nepal side(169 in the FIFA Rankings). While it was always expected that India would romp to a victory tonight, the style in which they did it was wonderful to see. India dominated the game from the outset, knocking on the Nepal goal all through.
The best thing about this win being that India was able to perform well in the absence of their talisman, Sunil Chhetri.
This is how Twitter reacted to this confidence inspiring win for the Indian side.
