On a day where rain was supposed to call the shots, MI dished out a quality bowling performance, immensely helped by some shoddy KKR batting as well, to help finish the jigsaw puzzle for the IPL final.
With so much speculation regarding the weather forecast, Mumbai kept their focus on the task at hand, running through the hapless KKR top order through and through.
108 was never enough, but the KKR bowlers tried to make a meal of it all the same, spinning a web around the top order, but Rohit Sharma’s sense of calm and Krunal Pandya’s exuberance helped Mumbai get over the line in what turned out to be a rather one sided encounter.
Mumbai would now take on RPS in what would be the 4th Maharashtra Derby of the season, with RPS having won all three.

Third time MI has beaten an opposition in a season.
Previous two times – vs CSK in 2013 & 2015 – they won the title#MIvKKR #IPL #IPL2017

MI were the only team to win an IPL title after losing the first qualifier match. They did it in 2013. Will they repeat it? #MIvKKR
