However, many fans don’t know that the ex-UFC fighter also possesses amazing football skills. Although one can speculate it as Aldo hails from Brazil and they love the sport. But the former UFC champion’s skills came to notice during a charity match back in 2014.

Jose Aldo stunned Neymar Jr. with his skills

In 2014, during a ‘Football Against Hunger’ charity match in Brazil, the former UFC fighter played against the Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar Jr. As seen in the video below, after receiving the ball, Aldo faced Neymar Jr. and quickly performed a rainbow flick, taking the ball away from him.

‘The King of Rio’ has delivered some of the most memorable matches in the UFC. His wins over Urijah Faber, Frankie Edgar, and Chad Mendes are still fresh in the minds of the fight fans. However, this year Aldo bid adieu to the sport with a long (31-8) run.

Aldo retired after a loss at UFC 278

Although Aldo is one of the most decorated mixed martial artists of the century, he faced a bit of hardship near the end of his career. After a win in 2019, the Brazilian suffered three straight defeats.
