The Irishman has over the last couple of weeks been making outlandish claims about buying the Premier League side

Across his career, Conor McGregor has been known to make some of the most outlandish claims and statements. One of the most outspoken people out in the world of UFC, the Irishman has ended up embarrassing himself on a string of occasions for his comments.

However, Conor has been undeterred, continuing to brazen it out with some absurd comments and interviews. He’s managed to earn a following owing to his deranged mannerisms, ones he’s stuck true by even when away from the ring.

Conor McGregor Wants To Purchase Manchester United

The Notorious came up with yet another beleaguered bit of statement. Taking to Twitter, Conor McGregor expressed his desire to purchase Manchester United by claiming he could do massive things for the club.

The Notorious sent out a tweet saying: “Hey guys, I’m thinking about buying Manchester United! What do you think?”

He said: “A conversation came up regarding Celtic first to be honest. To acquire shares from Dermot Desmond.

“I am certainly interested in acquiring a sports team at some stage! Both Celtic and Man United are teams I like for sure.

“But I am open. I feel I could do big things for a club.”

While Manchester United looks to be a far cry away given Conor McGregor is only valued at 180 million pounds, the wrestler could end up investing in Celtic. The Irishman has been heavily linked to purchasing shares in the Scottish Premier League side.

The Glazers meanwhile have been put to the sword off late with scores of the club’s supporters demanding the Americans to sell the club. The widespread protests against the Americans have been spurred on by the side’s decision to partake in the Super League.

Despite the Premier League side’s decision to withdraw from the competition, the side’s supporters have refused to be pacified.
