Aljamain Sterling demands title match from UFC president Dana White. ‘The Funk Master’ is currently 2nd in the UFC Bantamweight rankings.

Jose Aldo and Petr Yan faced each other at UFC 251 to determine who would become the new king of the Bantamweights. Yan would eventually come out on top with a 5th round TKO victory. It didn’t take long for the newly crowned champion however, to receive a challenger.

Now that a new champion has been coronated, ‘The Funk Master’ has served a reminder to UFC president Dana White of his desire for a well-deserved title shot.

“There is NOTHING to THINK about @danawhite!” Sterling wrote on Twitter. “I am the next guy in line! I earned my shot and it’s time for me to realize a dream! Cut the games!”

New Bantamweight Champion Yan himself suggested that Sterling should be the challenger he faces next.

“I think Aljamain Sterling deserves to fight for the title. He’s on a good streak and has beaten a lot of good guys,” Yan said.

Yan said he was insanely happy at winning the title but vowed to not allow success to change him negatively.

“It means a lot for me to have this belt now,” Yan said. “I’m not afraid of this. I’ve been through a lot in my life, so I think this belt is just going to make me a stronger person.”

This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
