"This is classic Zuffa and Dana White. They don't want Francis Ngannou to have that power." - Randy Couture

Francis Ngannou kept his frustration aside and seemingly congratulated Dana White and UFC for leading the way in the midst of a global pandemic.

After spending almost the entire 2020 away from the ring, waiting for Stipe Miocic to give his nod to defend the title once again, the No.1 contender for the Heavyweight title Francis Ngannou did cut a frustrating figure, on account of inactivity. However, on a different notion, this did not stop him from recognizing UFC’s exponential growth in the same year.

On Saturday, the Cameroonian took to Twitter to congratulate Dana White on leading the company, when things were not favorable.

He wrote: “What a year for ufc! First to find a solution out of a global pandemic and allow hundreds of families to keep having food on the table.”

He posted the Tweet in the response to the video shared by Dana White. For which the UFC president is facing flak.

What might be in Store for Francis Ngannou in 2021?

The 36-year-old might finally get his rematch against Stipe Miocic in 2021. There were speculations that UFC is targetting the match-up for the February Pay-Per-View card but, no confirmation status stays at large.

However, on account of Dana White’s reiterations about Ngannou being the next title challenger, the current position of one of the promotion’s primary knockout artists is not in danger.

With Jon Jones announcing his arrival in the weight class and Curtis Blaydes growing in stature, since attaining loss to Ngannou, in 2021 the division can present some delectable fixtures. And with Francis Ngannou being in the mix Who knows maybe 2021 would be the year when he would finally get his hands on the title.
