For the fans of DC all around, it was not a pleasant sight, as not only they witnessed the fighter losing the battle, but also saw him leaving the arena with a horrific injury on his left eye, which got inflicted during the fight; as a result of an unintentional eye poke by Miocic. However, with more than two weeks passed, Daniel Cormier has given an update about his condition, and much to the relief of his fans and well wishers, the former UFC champion is in a better state now.

Daniel Cormier Gives an Update About His Injury

In the recent episode of DC & Helwani, Daniel Cormier made an appearance in front of camera and addressed questions regarding his injury. He said “It’s much better”. He jokingly even cited his dilemma in identifying which eye did get injured in first place. However, he later gave a clear understanding of his current situation, and conveyed, “It was very bad, Initially. You know the first week and a half or week or so, it was really bad, it wasn’t opening, and it was completely blurry. But now it kind of feels like eye lashes in it.”

Cormier confirmed that no surgery will take place now, and the injury does not bother him anymore. “It was bad for like a week, then it started to get better. I got some medicine, antibiotics & stuff that just kind of go in to my eye three times a day, and it just started to get better, better, and better. And now today, it feels good but just feels like there’s something in there. You know when you get an eyelash, just can’t get it out, just right in the corner right here, it’s not bad though, it’s not bothering me all that much.”
