UFC reveals its picks for the knockout of the year. A total of four fighters made it to the cut.
While it is a popular belief that change is the only constant, in MMA this supposed fact gets contradicted very often. It is a sport where anything can happen at any moment but, there is a certain maneuver that enthusiasts fancy and want to see again and again. Yes, it is the Knockout. Though there are no set criteria to inflict a knockout and hence it is not the perpetual act but the reaction it propels might remain eternal.
In 2020, a plethora of knockouts took place in UFC, and each one is apparently a thing of beauty (not for the one who endured it). Among them, only a few stood out.
Even in the most exceptional year, two of UFC’s prominent knockout artists Francis Ngannou and Derrick Lewis did their normal. However, it is the incredible execution of Khamzat Chimaev, the spectacular improvisation of Jaoquin Buckley and Kevin Holland’s sharp-witted knockout, that made the majority of the headlines.
In the wake of all the phenomenal blows that occurred at various weekly fight nights and Pay-Per-View events, UFC has come out with a shortlist for the knockout of the year honor.
