Valentina Shevchenko is up for a long overhaul and is not willing to stop at nothing.
UFC 255 witnessed Valentina Shevchenko defending the Flyweight Championship for the forth time. At the event she faced a formidable opponent in the form of Jennifer Maia.
Maia showcased her toughness early on and also directed the odds in her favour in the initial rounds. Despite the early aspersions, Shevchenko settled in the match rapidly and then neutralized Maia to ultimately retain the gold.
While in the ring Shevchenko takes other contenders for a toss, she seemingly keeps her aggression reserved for the Octagon. After the match in the post-event presser, the Bullet addressed every question in relation to her past and also calmly answered queries pertaining to her future.

Valentina Shevchenko Gives a Befitting Reply To a Reporter Who Asked Her How Long She Intends To Keep Fighting
After this win, there are already plans in process from UFC’s side to find her a new opponent. While Jessica Andrade and Weili Zhang are the frontrunners, a trilogy bout against Amanda Nunes also does not seem very far. In lines with this, it is clear that her foreseeable path is set, but how long she intends to continue is what a reporter asked. To which the 32-year-old said, “I don’t have a date.”
Shevchenko expressed she is focusing on what’s at hand right now, and also highlighted that a fighter should continue as long as the desire persists to come back in the ring.
Valentina was also asked, how she will cope with the ageing factor, with which skills ostensibly begin to deplete. On this a very confident Valentina Shevchenko reflected that her skills are only going to get better.
So, with this outright response, it is clear that this bullet has a lot of leverage behind her. Subsequently, she is a telling figure among the greats of the game.
