Valorant Episode 2 Act 1 Competitive changes : Valorant has introduced some major changes to its competitive ranking system. Read more to find out all the details which have been revamped.
Valorant’s Episode 2 begins today, and the ranking system is also going through some changes. In every competitive game, players and fans want to know who is the best in the region. Riot Games are bringing in a regional leaderboard, and this will show exactly that. These changes are going to make it much easier to understand how the ranking system works.
You will also have a clearer idea of exactly how close you are to achieving the next rank, and how you stack up against the best players in your region. This will ensure that the amount of time you spend in ranked games is rewarding too.

We will also be highlighting some of the significant changes introduced to ranked games. These are definitely going to be a great boon, and make it much more precise about exactly where you stand in between ranks as well.
Also, if you have an Immortal rank and manage to crack the top 500 in your region, you will be awarded the Radiant Act rank.
Valorant Episode 2 Act 1 Competitive changes highlights
There is an in-client leaderboard which will reflect the top players in each region. However, even after you get on it, you have to be active to remain on the leaderboard, or someone will overtake you soon enough. You have to play at least 1 ranked game a week if you want to remain on the leaderboard.
There is also a new progress bar and rank rating which will reflect how close you are to achieving the next rank. This is for Iron to Diamond ranks. There are also new celebratory visuals when you achieve a new rank.
Rank Gun Buddies will also be included in rewards. It will display your best proven skill for the respective Act.
