Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma get involved in a wonderful Twitter conversation

Virat Kohli and RCB romped to a thumping win over KXIP last night, thanks to an inspired bowling performance from Umesh Yadav, who ran through that KXIP top order.

After Rahul and Gayle’s dismissal, it seemed like the KXIP middle order did not have enough pedigree to post a big total on the board. RCB had the advantage and they took full toll of it.

None of the middle order batsmen stepped up for KXIP and they got bundled out for a meagre 88 runs.

Virat Kohli sensed an opportunity to get that NRR up for RCB and hence decided to promote himself to the top of the order.

And Kohli delivered, as Parthiv and himself chased down the total in just 8.1 overs, providing a huge impetus to that RCB net run rate.

The equation remains exactly the same for RCB, as they still need to win 2 out of their remaining two games in order to have any chance of making it to the playoffs. Every game from now on is a must-win game for the 5 franchises fighting for those 2 remaining playoff spots.
