Virat Kohli celebrated Father’s Day in style by posting an old pic of himself and his Dad on Twitter.

In a latest interview, Indian Captain Virat Kohli talks about his fitness regime in detail.

There is no denying the fact that Virat Kohli is the fittest cricketer in India. Probably, he is also one of the quickest in world cricket.

There was a time when not many of the Indian fielders were considered as great fielders. Yuvraj Singh and Mohammad Kaif were at one point of time, the torch bearers of Indian fielding. But apart from that there were not too many notable names.

However, now with cricketers like Ravi Jadeja, KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Suresh Raina and Virat Kohli himself, stationed both in the infield and in the deep, save a lot of runs in each match.

All the same, this is not how Kohli always used to train. We all have seen his images from the times of his U 19 World Cup or when he was fresh into the Indian team. Kohli was quite chubby back then and was not the quickest around.

However, he soon started working very hard on his fitness and drafted a new training regime for himself. One thing that self admittedly helped him the most was lifting weights.

In a recent interview with ET Now, Kohli talked about his fitness, his fitness idol, the the most he has run till now and many such interesting facts. The details of the interview are as follows:

Q: Are you the fittest you have ever been in your life?

Virat: At this moment… yeah.

Q: Who did you look up to for fitness?

Virat: For fitness, no one actually. I have just understood this all by myself, I didn’t look upto anyone.

Q: What is the longest you have ever run in your life?

Virat: 20 minutes at the speed of 14 kilometres an hour.

Q: What is the heaviest you have lifted in weights?

Virat: Deadlift of 145 kg

Q: If you ever feel like munching what will you have?

Virat: ‘Too yum!’ multigrain chips (Kohli guffaws as he nails this one, looking towards his PR team who reciprocate his laughter.)
