Virat Kohli was brilliant for his team, as India’s batting linchpin scored the only century in the three test series. Kohli was by far the best batsman on either side, as he finished as the highest run scorer in the test format.
Heading into the tour, Kohli was under pressure as many people in world cricket were still apprehensive about his ability in the test format.

Kohli though answered all those questions emphatically, as the Indian skipper was superb and led from the front against a hostile pace attack from the Proteas.
Pujara is the second Indian in the top ten list, as the sturdy batsman remains at the sixth position. Lokesh Rahul and Ajinkya Rahane are the other two Indian batsmen in the top 20, as they are both quite low on the table.
Ravindra Jadeja is the highest placed Indian bowler at 3rd position, with his spin twin Ravichandran Ashwin at number six the only two Indians in the top ten.
Mohammad Shami and Bhuvneshawar Kumar are at the number 15 and number 20th positions respectively, as these four complete India’s contingent in the top 20 bowlers.
