Virat Kohli vs KKR out: Rahul Tripathi grabs magnificent catch to dismiss RCB captain as V Chakravarthy picks two wickets in 1st over

Virat Kohli vs KKR out: The captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore was dismissed for a single-digit score against Knight Riders.

During the 10th match of the ongoing 14th season of the Indian Premier League between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders in Chennai, Kolkata Knight Riders spinner Varun Chakravarthy made early inroads into the opposition’s batting lineup by picking a couple of wickets in his first over.

Being asked to share the new ball with veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh by captain Eoin Morgan, Chakravarthy foxed Royal Challengers captain Virat Kohli (5) to play a false aerial shot.

With Kohli looking to clear mid-off, he ended up slicing the ball over extra cover as the ball hit the outer part of his bat. KKR batsman Rahul Tripathi, who was fielding at extra cover, back-pedaled a few steps before grabbing a magnificent reflex catch at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

On the last delivery of the same over, Chakravarthy cleaned up Rajat Patidar (1) as the only inclusion into RCB’s XI for this match failed to make an impact with the bat.

Earlier, it was Kohli who had won the toss and elected to bat. Unlike Royal Challengers, Knight Riders have fielded an unchanged Playing XI for their last league match in at this venue.
