Virender Sehwag predicts the winner of IPL 2018
Virender Sehwag had a nice run in the IPL, as the Nawab of Najafgarh scored plenty of runs for his IPL teams. Sehwag scored 2728 runs at a strike rate of 155.44 in his IPL career, as the dashing opener terrorized some of the best bowlers in the world.
The captain of Delhi Daredevils for the first few years, Sehwag switched teams and joined Kings XI Punjab in 2014. It was with KXIP that Sehwag played his most memorable IPL innings, a brilliant 122 in the the 2nd Qualifier against CSK in Mumbai.

Sehwag had a poor season up until then with Punjab, prompting questions about inclusion in the side. But Viru picked the perfect time to silences his critics, as he turned back the clock and thrashed the bowlers all over the Wankhede Stadium.
Now the coach of KXIP, Sehwag will be hoping to help his team win the IPL trophy for the first time. Viru personally wants a new winner in this year’s IPL, as he hopes one of KXIP, DD or RCB will lift this trophy.
“This year, I would want a franchise who has never won the tournament to lift the title. Whether it’s Kings XI Punjab, Delhi Daredevils or Royal Challengers Bangalore, one of these teams should win the title which will increase the level of competition in the tournament.”
There are many people that agree with Viru, as a new winner would certainly freshen up the scene. Over the last five years, Mumbai Indians and KKR have dominated the league, with RCB also putting up a fine performances along the way.
The IPL will start from April 7th, as Mumbai Indians will host the returning Chennai Super Kings, in front of what is expected to be a jam packed Wankhede Stadium.
The final will also be held at the Wankhede Stadium on May 27th, as the original eight franchises will be fight it out in India’s annual cricketing carnival.
