Aaron Ramsey doubled Arsenal’s lead against AC Milan, as the Gunners shocked everyone and took a two-nil lead at the San Siro.
Arsenal were under incredible pressure heading into the first leg, as four consecutive defeats out Wenger’s side under huge stress. Media and fans alike were furious with the Arsenal manager, as calls for the Frenchman to resign have increased in number.
AC Milan started off the match in great fashion, as the home side had a few corners within the opening couple of minutes. But Arsenal showed glimpses of their potential as Ozil, Welbeck and Mkhi combined to fashion a couple of chances for the Londoners.
Then the Armenian international scored his first goal for the Gooners, as Mkhi smashed the ball into the net to give Arsenal the lead. Milan lost possession, which was picked up by Ozil who immediately released Mkhi. The Armenian then kept his cool and smashed the ball, via deflection, into the roof of the goal.
Aaron Ramsey then doubled Arsenal’s lead, as he wrong footed Donnarumma, before slotting the ball in to the empty net to send the travelling Gooners into dream land.
Mesut Ozil picked up Ramsey will a brilliant through ball, as Ramsey broke Milan’s off-side trap to score a very cool goal.
Two away goals in 45 minutes have seen Arsenal take a commanding lead in the tie, as the Gunners are now firm favourites to progress into the next round.
