Ambati Rayudu

Chennai Super Kings are flying at the moment and everything is clicking for them right now. They are able to chase any total put in front of them and they are competent enough to set a big score, when they are needed to.

The biggest reason of CSK’s top of the table form this season, is their newly recruited player Ambati Rayudu.

The Hyderabad born cricketer is in remarkable form this year and he has already scored 370 runs in 8 matches.

He has been used in different positions in batting order by M S Dhoni, and he has come good in all of them. This great run of form has even created buzz around Rayudu for a speculated comeback in Indian team in upcoming tour of England.

Rayudu was asked to bat in middle order in CSK last match against DD, where he got involved in a crucial 79 runs partnership with Dhoni. This partnership took their total above 200, batting first. Trent Boult was asked to bowl last over of the innings and Dhoni was going good against him by scoring 10 runs in just 2 balls.

COMICAL MOMENT:

The comical incident took place during the 5th ball of the last over. Boult went for a well directed short pitch delivery. This delivery not only took Dhoni by surprise but ended up being the reason for Rayudu walking back to the pavillion

Ball went low towards the keeper but he wasn’t able to complete the catch, seeing this Rayudu ran towards striker’s end in hope of trying to steal a single.

Dhoni being unaware of the situation didn’t move from his crease. Seeing Dhoni and Rayudu standing on same crease, wicket keeper Pant backflipped the ball towards Boult who just had to collect ball and throw towards stumps while Rayudu was running back the whole pitch length to get back to his end.

This incident created a hilarious moment in the match and brought a big laugh in CSK dugout.
