Arjun Tendulkar- son of the legendary Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar carries the spotlight along with himself. He gathers plenty of eyeballs primarily because of the high stature of his father in the Cricketing fraternity.
Threading on his father’s footsteps, Arjun too has set his eyes on playing the highest level of Cricket for his national side. Unlike his father, Arjun is a tall left-handed middle-order batsman and a medium pace bowler. Quite recently, his video of uprooting the stumps of the Surrey 2nd XI opening batsman, with a beautiful inswinging delivery had gathered decent attention.
Yet another video of Arjun Tendulkar- the bowler is doing quite some rounds on social media where he is seen bowling to the English batsmen, during their net sessions ahead of their vital World Cup clash against Australia at The Lord’s Cricket Ground.
Arjun bowls to Joe Root
The 19-year old was seen bowling his quicks to a few English batsmen during their net sessions at The Lord’s. The video shows the left-arm pacer bowling beautifully to the England No.3 and arguably their best batsman- Joe Root.
Root, had reportedly missed a couple of drives off his bowling as well. The England team might be preparing for the Mitchell Starc threat, who too bowls with his left-arm. Starc is the joint highest wicket-taker in the World Cup so far, alongside Mohammad Amir and Jofra Archer.
Tendulkar made headlines last year, when he earned his maiden call for India U-19 for the Youth Test match against Sri Lanka. He is also a part of the Mumbai Under-23 team and made some valuable contributions with both bat and ball for his side Aakash Tigers in the recently concluded T20 Mumbai League 2019.
