WATCH : Aubameyang scores his first Arsenal goal after just 39 minutes
Arsenal fans were in an expectant mood ahead of their team’s match against Everton earlier tonight. The last couple of days have been surprisingly good for Gooners, as the much maligned Arsene Wenger pulled out not one, but two rabbits out of their hat.
First, Arsenal managed to sign one of the best strikers in the word in Pierre Emerick Aubameyang. The Gabon international became Arsenal’s most expensive signing, as Gooners salivated at the prospect of seeing Henrikh Mkhitaryan link up with his former team mate Aubameyang.
Then came the stunning news of Mesut Ozil signing a long-term contract, as the German put pen to paper and committed himself to the club for another three years.
All in all, the fans flocked to the Emirates, as they wanted to see their new heroes in action. And they were not disappointed!
Aaron Ramsey scored the first goal, as the Welshman swept his side into the lead. Captain Koscielny scored the second, as Arsenal looked comfortable after just fifteen minutes.
Ramsey doubled his tally, as his deflected strike beat Pickford and sealed the match for Arsenal within 20 minutes.
Then came the moment that Arsenal fans were all waiting for, as their latest number 14, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang chipped the keeper to score his first goal for the Gooners.
The fans were delirious, as the Gabon international soaked in the applause from his adoring fans. Arsene Wenger’s smile told the entire story, as the veteran Frenchman was delighted for his new signing.
