Chris Green’s rocket throw from boundary: The Thunder’s spinner was absolutely accurate in the field during the Sydney derby.

During the 14th match of the ongoing ninth season of the Big Bash League between Sydney Sixers and Sydney Thunder at the SCG, Sydney Thunder spinner Chris Green put on display an incredible fielding effort which saw him dismissing Sydney Thunder batsman Jordan Silk.
It all happened on the last delivery of the 10th over when Sixers captain Moises Henriques nudged a Jonathan Cook delivery towards the long-on. With the ball only reaching the 30-yard circle, the batting duo thought of sneaking a second run as well.
It was at this point in time that Green ran in from long on, picked the ball with one hand and affected a stunning direct-hit at the non-striker’s end to find Silk way short of his crease. Coming in to bat at No. 5 in the previous over, Silk ended up scoring 2 (3).

Chasing a 150-run target, Sixers are dependent on Henriques as they’ve lost half their side with only a few overs remaining in the second innings.
It was Thunder captain Callum Ferguson who won the toss and elected to bat. Leading from the front, Ferguson scored his 11th T20 half-century, 52 (42), to propel his team to 149/8 in 20 overs. With bowling figures of 4-0-23-3, Thunder spinner Lloyd Pope was the pick of their bowlers.
