WATCH: CSK fans travel to Pune via special train
CSK fans were abjejct when BCCI decided to shift the home matches of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) out of Chennai due to political tensions over the Cauvery water sharing issue.
Player security came under severe scrutiny as few of the protestors who had made their way into the stadium threw boots at the players.
The home matches were then shifted to Pune leaving CSK supporters in dismay as they had waited for two years to see their favourite franchise play at the Chepauk.
The CSK management organized a train for the fans to head towards Pune. The train got flooded with fans in the yellow jersey, flags, and banners. CSK fans with the help of officials managed the journey to Pune to show support in tomorrow’s match against Rajasthan Royals (RR).
It’s a one of a kind decision taken by the officials and surely a few other franchises can take a leaf out of CSK’s book and go out of their way to create something special for their fans.
You can take CSK out of Chennai, but you can’t take Chennai out of CSK’ #whistlepoduexpress on the way to Pune from Chennai. #whistlepoduexpress started trending on Twitter lately when CSK fans flooded it with pictures of them traveling from Chennai to Pune for tomorrow’s match.
