James Rodriguez to Juventus: The Italian side is keen on signing the Real Madrid star, who is currently on loan to Bayern Munich.

Real Madrid have made a disastrous start to their season, which has led to the sacking of manager Julen Lopetegui, merely four months after his appointment.

The Spanish side is currently 9th in the La Liga table, with only 14 points from 10 games. Real Madrid also announced that Santiago Solari, who played for Real Madrid between 2000-2005, will take on the managerial role for a provisional basis.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid star James Rodriguez, who is on loan at Bayern Munich, reportedly wants to leave the German side. SportBild, the German media publication, claims that Juventus are keen on signing the player.

James Rodriguez to Juventus:

The Colombian forward joined Real Madrid in 2014 after an impressive World Cup with the side for 70 million euros. However, he left the club due to lack of chances in 2017, when he joined Bayern Munich on loan.

The recent reports suggest that James wants to leave the German champions – for La Liga, or the other European clubs.

SportBild claims that James Rodriguez has been offered to Juventus on more than one occasion. Juventus, meanwhile, are attempting to utilize the services of Jorge Mendes in securing the services of James.

Jorge Mendes is James’ agent, and has helped secured moves to Juventus for Joan Cancelo and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Juventus are also planning to offload some of their attacking talents, as they can’t afford to sign Ronaldo’s former Real Madrid teammate at the moment. The current forward lineup for Juventus includes star players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Paolo Dybala, Mario Mandzukic, Juan Cuadrado, Federico Bernardeschi and Douglas Costa.

James Rodriguez has made 7 Bundesliga appearances, and appeared in 10 matches for Bayern Munich this season, scoring three goals. However, the Colombian forward suffered a dip in form this season under new manager Niko Kovac.

What next?

Juventus smashed their transfer record fee this season when they signed Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus, and it is unlikely that they will attempt to buy James Rodriguez in January.

Bayern Munich, too, have paid the fee for the season-long loan, and it makes little sense to part with him mid-way into the season.
