Fan runs on to the field, clicks selfie with Kohli

RCB Captain Virat Kohli had a Dhoni moment on Saturday when a fan breached the security to take a selfie with the skipper.

They say Cricket is a religion in India. An example of why the country has got this tag was visible in the fixture between DD and RCB played at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in Delhi.

Chasing a target of 182, RCB lost the wickets of Parthiv Patel and Moeen Ali early on. To get rid of their batting woes in the last few match, RCB had tinkered with their batting line up, sending English all-rounder Moeen Ali to open the batting. However, the move did not work as he was dismissed early by Delhi pacer Trent Boult.

It was then up to the experienced Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers to chase down the total. They did it in their own masterful style with both making 70s. While they were at the helm, a spectator sneaked through the security and ran on the ground.

He first lay down at the feet of Kohli as a mark of respect for the Indian Captain. This reminded fans of a similar incident that happened with former Indian Captain Dhoni when a fan ran on the field to touch his feet recently.

Kohli was very gracious all along as the fan clicked a selfie with the champion batsmen, with thousands of people looking on. The security personnel soon rushed on the ground and took the man away. Kohli won hearts when he urged the security personnel to be careful while handling the fan.
