Hardik Pandya attempts MS Dhoni’s Helicopter shot: The all-rounder emulated the legendary cricketer during a net session.

Former India captain and current wicket-keeper batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s trademark ‘Helicopter shot’ seems to have gained immense popularity among cricketers these days.

Dhoni, who will lead defending Champions Chennai Super Kings for the 10th time in the Indian Premier League, has surprisingly spread his aura in the nets of arch-rivals Mumbai Indians. After the success of veteran all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, another all-rounder in Hardik Pandya has emulated Dhoni by attempting his helicopter shot in MI nets.

After missing the recently concluded series against Australia due to injury, Pandya joined Indians’ practice camp for IPL 2019 not long ago. The 25-year all-rounder took to his Twitter account to post the video where he is seen copying Dhoni.

Uploaded on the internet a couple of hours ago, the video has already gone viral. With it revolving around Dhoni, there is not much of a surprise element left behind the same. Watch the full video below:

Virat Kohli expects better balance post Hardik Pandya’s return

“As a side, we are quite balanced, and once Hardik Pandya returns, it will increase our batting depth and as well as provide options with the ball. We just need to take better decisions in pressure situations,” India captain Virat Kohli had said of Pandya with respect to the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 last night.

Since the tour of England last year, Pandya has only played four ODIs, three T20Is and one First-class match. While his numbers in those have been decent, the ideal preparation for him would be more number of matches under his belt.

In a bid to be best-prepared for the world event, Pandya would be doubtlessly looking forward to do well with both the bat and ball. Having not played much cricket of late, it is vital for him to find his mojo before the world event.

How Twitter reacted:

Mumbai Indians will play their first match of IPL 2019 against Delhi Capitals at Delhi on March 24.
