WATCH: Imran Tahir grabs one-handed stunner vs Pakistan in ICC Cricket World Cup 2019

Imran Tahir grabs one-handed stunner vs Pakistan: The 40-year old cricketer grabbed one of the best catches of the tournament.

During the 30th match of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 between Pakistan and South Africa at Lord’s, veteran South Africa leg-spinner grabbed an exceptional one-handed catch off his own bowling to send back Pakistan opening batsman Imam-ul-Haq.

It happened on the third delivery of the 21st over when Imam’s attempt to drive the ball down the ground saw him hitting the ball in the air on the right of the bowler. Into his follow through, a swift Tahir dived to his right to complete an exceptional catch.

It is worth mentioning that Tahir’s reaction time was a mere 0.52 second. Just as he held on to the catch, the 40-year was seen in his archetype celebratory run. Imam, who had opened the batting with Fakhar Zaman, ended up scoring 44 (58) with the help of six fours.

Having earlier dismissed Zaman (44) in his first over itself, Tahir picked both the first two wickets for his team. Earlier, Tahir’s spectacular fielding effort was given not out by the third-man after he didn’t find concrete evidence to overturn the decision.

After Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed won the toss and chose to bat, their openers registered an 81-run opening partnership. Having lost wickets at regular intervals since then, Pakistan are in some spot of bother.

The optimist in him is waiting for the day when Punjab Kings will win their maiden Indian Premier League title. When not watching cricket, he is mostly found in a cinema hall watching a Punjabi movie.
