India-Pakistan Champions Trophy final

For all the political tension that exists between the two nations, the players from both India and Pakistan seem to share a camaraderie that was heartening to see. One such incident occurred after the Champions Trophy final, when Kohli, Yuvraj, Azhar Mahmood and Shoaib Malik were seen sharing a laugh during the post match ceremony.

It was a disappointing day for India, as they were outplayed by a brilliant Pakistan team on the day. Fakhar Zaman’s century helped Pakistan put up a daunting 338 on the board. Then it Mohammed Aamir’s time to shine, as he bowled a fiery spell in which he knocked over Rohit, Dhawan and Kohli.

India could simply not recover from this, as the likes of Yuvraj and Dhoni failed to deliver on the big stage. Although Hardik Pandya played a valiant knock, Pakistan were too strong on the day as they rolled over their much fancied opponents.

After the match, Shoaib Malik was seeing explaining a the famous drop catch of Chris Gayle to both Kohli and Yuvraj. Gayle had top edged the ball and skied it for either Malik or Saed Ajmal to catch. Ajmal was closer to the ball, which is why Malik left it for him to catch.

But inexplicably, Ajmal left the ball for Malik to catch which eventually saw the ball bounce in between them. While Malik was very angry when the incident happened, he is seen laughing about it as he narrates the incident to Yuvraj and Kohli.
