WATCH: Ishan Kishan grabs one-handed stunner to dismiss Reeza Hendricks vs South Africa A

Ishan Kishan grabs one-handed stunner: India A’s wicket-keeper put on display an exceptional fielding effort in Thiruvananthapuram.

During the third unofficial ODI of the ongoing South Africa A’s tour of India in Thiruvananthapuram, India A wicket-keeper Ishan Kishan grabbed a stunning one-handed catch to dismiss South Africa A opening batsman Reeza Hendricks.

It all happened on the third delivery of the fifth over when Hendricks outside edged a Deepak Chahar delivery. With the ball going towards the right of Kishan, the 21-year old wicket-keeper grabbed it with his right hand inches away from the ground.

Him not letting the ball fall down even after falling on the ground spoke highly of his awareness. Hendricks, who opened the batting with Janneman Malan, ended up scoring 9 (14) with the help of a couple of fours.

After South Africa A captain Temba Bavuma won the toss and chose to bat, the visitors scored 207/8 in their allotted quota of 30 overs. Wicket-keeper batsman Heinrich Klaasen, who came in to bat at No. 6 in the 23rd over, top-scored for his team by scoring 44 (21) with the help of two fours and four sixes. With bowling figures of 5-0-23-2, all-rounder Krunal Pandya was the pick of the bowlers for India A.

Having lost three early wickets, India A didn’t get off to the best of starts. Having said that, it was captain Manish Pandey’s 28th List A half-century which saw them sealing the chase in the 28th over. Coming in to bat at No. 5 in the seventh over, Pandey scored 81 (59) with the help of three fours and five sixes.
