WATCH: Krishmar Santokie bowls huge no-ball vs Chattogram Challengers in BPL 2019-20

Krishmar Santokie bowls huge no-ball: Thunder’s pacer gave away too many extras in the season opener of the Bangladesh Premier League.

During the first match of the ongoing seventh season of the Bangladesh Premier League between Sylhet Thunder and Chattogram Challengers in Dhaka, Sylhet Thunder pacer Krishmar Santokie bowled a weird wide and a huge no-ball in his first over itself.

It all happened after the second delivery of the second over when Santokie was bowling to Chattogram Challengers opening batsman Avishka Fernando. The left-arm bowler bowled a wide delivery way down the leg side to Fernando.

After bowling a couple of dot balls to Fernando, Santokie overstepped massively to bowl a no-ball. Having gifted the batsman with a free-hit, Santokie saw Fernando hitting him for a six on the last delivery of the over.

Having opened the bowling alongside spinner Sohag Gazi, Santokie registered bowling figures of 4-0-34-1 which included four wide balls and one no-ball.

Chasing a 163-run target, Challengers sealed the chase with an over remaining on the back of a match-winning 86-run stand for the fifth wicket between Imrul Kayes and Chadwick Walton. Coming in to bat at No. 4 in the fifth over, Kayes scored an impressive 61 (38) with the help of two fours and five sixes.

After Chattogram captain Rayad Emrit won the toss and put the opposition in to bat, Sylhet posted 162-4 in 20 overs primarily because of wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Mithun scoring 84* (48) with the help of four fours and five sixes. With bowling figures of 4-0-27-2, Rubel Hossain was the pick of Thunder’s bowlers.
