WATCH: Lewis Hamilton and Will Smith with some banter
Lewis Hamilton’s brand just keeps growing, as he has made it a point to have an image for himself off the race track as well.
Lewis has been known to hang out with a lot of Hollywood celebrities and Will Smith is one that he chills out with quite often.
Will Smith’s pre-recorded video for Hamilton was played after the Mexico GP, where Hamilton secured his 5th World title.
And while initially viewers were confused as to why Hamilton did not reply back to his dear friend, it was later reported that the message was a pre-recorded one and wasn’t put across to Hamilton through his radio.
“Hey, Lewis. Congrats, man. That’s how you do it, baby. Just like I taught you, that’s how you do it. Just like that, that’s how you’re supposed to drive.” Will Smith had said that day.
Now, for the final grand prix of the year, Will Smith made another appearance in the F1 paddock, this time taking over Lewis Hamilton’s Instagram just before the race and holding him hostage as well.
Will Smith put out a perfectly enacted video with dear friend Lewis Hamilton, holding Lewis hostage and threatening to race instead of him in the Abu Dhabi GP.
Will Smith hilariously says in the video that he is black and Lewis is also black, hence if, Will climbs into Hamilton’s car, people wouldn’t really know what happened.

Of course Will wasn’t successful in his attempt to race instead of Lewis.
